Also, you pay a little bit up front for the customization, but then you can print these off at home or at any store as a 4x6 or 5x7 print for PENNIES! Every year I’ve done this, I’ve spent less than $5 for printing 40 Christmas cards! (Look for prints sales!) Of course, you are always more than welcome to spend more money to get these done as actual cards at many stores. (But if you’re cheap like me and don’t want to throw your money away for cards that are going to be thrown away, then this is the way to go!) You will also have a digital copy of your card to send out in emails and social media as well!
You can choose for me to:
- Add or subtract the amount of pictures.
- Change the saying(s) if you want.
- Change the colors to match your picture(s), or change your picture to black and white so it doesn’t clash with the colors you want for your card.
- Make it a specific size that you want.
- Or keep it as is! (But with your picture and names of course!)
Card #1: A shaped picture with either a striped or polka dotted background in your choice of colors. Best for pictures with a bit of space around the whole picture to accommodate the lovely curves and label across the bottom.
Card #2: If you’re wanting to share a few of your pictures this year, try this collage card. You can change up words and colors. This card is best for those who need some flexibility—you can have from 0 to 6 square pictures on the bottom!
Card #3: A simple and bold design in trendy chevrons is the main feature of this card. Change the chevron colors or the saying to make it uniquely yours! Best for a single horizontal picture, but two vertical pictures can also be used.
Card #4: A simple background design and saying of your choice in the center are the features of this card. Change the colors to match your picture—peace dove on bottom right is an option as well. Best for one vertical picture, though the whole card can be flipped 90 degrees to accommodate a horizontal picture. (Design can be on top of, or under the picture.)
Card #5: A simple card with a message you choose. Best for vertical pictures, though you can flip the card 90 degrees with the words/design on top or bottom and use a horizontal picture.
Card #6: A simple collage card that holds three of your chosen pictures. You can choose the saying and whether to have a vertical or a horizontal picture be the focus. You can choose the colors on the card as well as the lace pattern or a solid color behind the message. Best for someone who wants to share more than one picture and would like some flexibility.
Card #7: This card can be made into any color of your choice and features a shaped picture and diamond design in the background. Best for horizontal pictures with a lot of space around them to accommodate for the curves. (Sorry that it’s hard to read the message on this one with the watermark.)
How to order:
1. Pick a card you like.
2. Find a picture or pictures that you’d like to use. (If you’ve done a session with me this year or last, I have your pictures still, you just need to tell me which pictures you’d like to use!)
3. Email me your order please! (lavenderlimephoto@gmail.com)
- Tell me the card you want by the number.
- Tell me the colors you want.
- Tell me the wording you want, or if you want it the same as the example.
- Tell me the size you’d like. (4x6, 5x7, 4x8, 5x5, etc.) I will do my best to keep the design the same, though some changing of the design in whole may take place depending on the size. The examples are all 4x6.
- Attach a high resolution picture (if applicable).
5. Within a week you will receive another email with a low resolution proof of your card. You will need to give it a good look over to make sure it’s exactly how you want it. Email me back letting me know if there are any changes you desire, or if it’s exactly what you had in mind! You can add a rush order for $3 which will move your order to the front of the line.
6. Use the Paypal buttons below to pay for your card after you see and approve the proof. (You don’t need a Paypal account to use this, just a credit card.) If you live by me and would prefer to pay cash, you can do that. If you’ve done a photo session with me recently, chances are I owe you a free card!
7. Receive your totally customized and unique card (and the print release) via email or CD!
Then all you do is upload your card to your computer or photo center and get your pictures printed out!

*I recommend that you get them printed on matte photo paper so finger prints don’t show up! To mail these, buy “Invitation Envelopes” at the store—they fit 4x6 photos perfectly!
